- Robot Nanny is a reference to Supernanny.
- Beer Factor is a reference to The X Factor.
- Pimp My Bride is a reference to Pimp My Ride.
- Trading Faces is a reference to the comedy movie Trading Places.
Homer says that he's being punked, a reference to the TV show Punk'd.
Mr. Burns takes his car to the garage and tells the mechanics to pimp his ride, another reference to Pimp My Ride.
On The Flunky, Mr. Burns dresses and acts like Simon Cowell.
The Flunky is a parody of The Apprentice.

Springfield has a RadioShack, which has been vandalized to say "RadiationShack".
