If you look up "Holy Roller" on wikipedia, there are multiple usages of the term, the primary definition being a term describing evangelical christians, but the use of the term in the Beatles song "Come Together" is not among them. Therefore I think it is false to say that the usage in this episode, without any other Beatles hints, is "clearly" a reference to the Beatles. Changing for now. 75.101.48.89 07:19, February 17, 2010 (UTC)
- Well i just looked up the lyrics and it says Holly roller in it. What other meanings are there? --Sgtcook (My Talk Page) 12:59, February 17, 2010 (UTC)
- Let's apply some logic here. If you want to find out why they gave something a particular name, look for the gag. Is there a gag in naming a bowling team after one fairly random line in a fairly random Beatles' song? No. However, there is a gag in the term "holy roller" meaning "evangelical Christians", as they're religious bowlers ("holy"-->"religious"; "roller"-->"bowler") and evangelical Christians. As such, I have included that bit of information in the References article. PenguinofDeath 14:29, February 17, 2010 (UTC)
