I have a question: do the facilities depicted in the episode "Deep Space Homer" represent the Kennedy Space Center or Cape Canaveral Air Force Station?
While the episode does not explicitly mention either facility by name, a sign refers to "Cape Canaveral" as a geographic location.
Upon conducting research, I discovered that the Kennedy Space Center,is operated by NASA and is responsible for spaceshift launches. In contrast, Cape Canaveral Air Force Station is operated by the United States Space Force.
Therefore, I recommend renaming the article to "Kennedy Space Center," as it appears to be the more accurate reference. Krloz to (talk) 01:39, June 6, 2025 (EDT)
- I just checked the Simpsons World script and it gives the locations as "Cape Canaveral" and "Cape Canaveral Base". It doesn't refer to the Kennedy Space Center at all. I'll check the script on Internet Archive when the site is done with maintenance to see if that says anything about location. The Solar Dragon 06:41, June 6, 2025 (EDT)
- And confirmed in the script that it's referred to as "Cape Canaveral Base". So, that combined with the sign seen in the episode has me saying we keep it at this name. Either that or we move it to just "Cape Canaveral" or "Cape Canaveral Base", as they're the names given in the episode and scripts. The Solar Dragon 13:32, June 6, 2025 (EDT)
