Stanford University is a university in Palo Alto, California. Its quasi-official mascot is the Stanford Tree.

History

Bart and Homer once teased Lisa with a song, saying that she is going to Stanford, after Lisa became concerned about whether being arrested would reduce her chances of being accepted by an Ivy League university.

When Lisa played Marching Band she saw that the game had all the best college marching bands, "from the precision footwork of Ohio State to the lame, dead-on-arrival humor of Stanford".
