Marge usded the Springfield Telephone Directory to find a school dog for Santa's Little Helper.[1]
Edgar Neubauer became Waylon Smithers’ clue that helped Bart and Lisa Simpson expose Sideshow Bob’s fraudulent mayoral victory over Mayor Quimby. After unsuccessfully searching for Neubauer’s name in the directory, they discovered that the election had been rigged with votes cast in the names of deceased people and animals.[2]
Bart used the Springfield Telephone Directory to find phone numbers for other countries to ask them which way their water flowed.[3]
