Lisa and Marge went there to get a gift. Lisa considered the didgeridoo, but Marge refused. The shop was also packed with bullfrogs.
Behind the Laughter[edit]
South O' the Equator Gift Shoppe is a reference to an existing roadside attraction in South Carolina named "South of the Border". It is one of the longest-running roadside attractions in the United States, and its mascot is a character named "Pedro," as can be seen in the window of the shop.
