"Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be)" is a song sung by Ned Flanders then the people of Springfield.
History[edit]
As a comet seemed set to strike Springfield, the townspeople crowded into Ned Flanders' bomb shelter. When it became too full, Homer singled out Ned and forced him out. Ned accepted it calmly and went outside, singing “Que Sera, Sera” as he waited for the end. Later, moved by his calm acceptance, the others left the shelter and joined Ned in singing together while the comet approached.
Lyrics[edit]
- Ned:
- When I was just a little girl
- I asked my mother, "What will I be?"
- "Will I be pretty? Will I be rich?"
- Here's what she said to me
- All:
- "Que será, será
- Whatever will be, will be
- The future's not ours to see
- Que será, será"
