Operation is a battery-operated skill game.
History[edit]
As a child, Homer Simpson was shown playing Operation while attempting to remove the "wrenched ankle" piece. He accidentally touched the edge of the opening, causing the game to buzz and prompting him to call for his mother. She comforted him, tucked him into bed, and sang him a bedtime song before he fell asleep.
