 Francine Rhenquist is a bully who moved to Springfield Elementary School. After the school bus arrived at Springfield Elementary, Otto realized that he forgot the new kid and went back to pick her up. When Francine got on the bus, everyone whispered mean things about her, causing Lisa to feel bad for her. At the school playground, Lisa was talking with Bart, Milhouse, and Lewis when she decided to go see if Francine wanted a friend. However, when Lisa spoke to her, Francine punched her in the eye. Lisa talked with Homer and Marge about Francine, and Marge told Lisa to try and bond with her over a shared interest, with them settling on seeing if Francine liked Malibu Stacy. At school, Lisa saw Francine holding a Malibu Stacy doll and talked to her about it, until she realized that it was her own doll that Francine had stolen from her locker.  "Bye, Bye, Nerdie" is the sixteenth episode of broadcast season 12 of The Simpsons and the two hundred sixty-fourth episode overall. It originally aired on March 11, 2001. The episode was written by John Frink and Don Payne and directed by Lauren MacMullan. It guest stars Kathy Griffin as Francine Rhenquist. Lisa's attempts to befriend a new student at Springfield Elementary result in constant bullying by the student, leading her to try to find out why some kids bully others.  Poindextrose is a chemical that is emitted by geeks, dorks, and people with glasses. When new girl Francine Rhenquist moved to Springfield Elementary School, Lisa was physically bullied by her. Lisa had no idea why Francine started bullying her, so she decided to figure out the cause. After reviewing security tapes of Francine finding and bullying her, Lisa realized that Francine was completely fine with her at the swimming pool due to her using a nose clip. Lisa realized that this meant the reason Francine bullied her was due to a smell-related cause. Lisa had Database, Martin, and Milhouse, all of whom were victims of Francine, run on treadmills in the school gymnasium so she could gather their sweat from them. She then tested her theory on Drederick Tatum, who was giving a talk to Bart's class.
