Love in the Time of Coloring Books is a romance novel. When Bart and Lisa were in the third grade together and the class took a field trip to Capital City, Lisa read the book on the bus.
Behind the Laughter[edit]
- The book's title is a pun on Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel García Márquez.
- Lisa has previously shown an interest in college-level reading material ("Little Girl in the Big Ten"). So in spite of the title, there's no guarantee that Love in the Time of Coloring Books is a children's book.
