History[edit]
When John was visiting the Brew Ha Ha! at 742 Evergreen Terrace, he asked Bart how much their ultra-rare recording of The Chipmunks performing The Monkees' greatest hits cost. Bart paid him to take it because Homer played that one all the time.
Behind the Laughter[edit]
The album is a reference to the album Last Train to Clarksville by the Monkees, "Yellow Submarine" by the Beatles, and the fictional band Alvin and the Chipmunks.
