Google-Disney is a television conglomerate.
History[edit]
After quitting his job at Culture Smash, Homer was taken to Google-Disney to meet the CEO. The CEO revealed that a lot of the TV shows that are advertised don't actually exist and that they were a way of getting people to subscribe to Google-Disney's streaming service for $30 a month. Homer recorded this conversation and helped write a story for the Daily Fourth Gradian about it. However, the story got removed.
Behind the Laughter[edit]
Google-Disney is a combination of Google and Disney, likely parodying the two companies' massive sizes and penchants for mergers and acquisitions. The logo is a mix of both companies' logos. It is similar when AOL merged with Time Warner calling itself AOL-Time Warner.
Google-Disney is depicted as a subsidiary of an even larger conglomerate, Northrop-Goldman, which itself is a reference to real-life companies Northrop Grumman and Goldman Sachs.
As of 2019, Disney is the real-life owner of The Simpsons, through its 20th Century Fox subsidiary.
