Magazine Information
|
D'oh! was a humor magazine by Krusty written by Bart..
History[edit]
When Krusty heard from a spy at the school about Bart's magazine, Bad, he realized that kids liked magazines now, so he let Bart produce a humor magazine for him called D'oh!. Krusty decided that Homer should be on every cover since he was perfect for the role. Krusty's first task for Bart was to write a parody of a Wolfcastle movie that was being recorded. Bart sneaked into the recording and found a script, which made his work easier.
When the first magazine was ready, Bart discovered that he would not get paid or have other writers to work with. At the same time, Homer became ashamed that he was on the cover of the magazine, and it got worse when he learned that he could no longer say "D'oh!" without paying Krusty. Lisa noticed that Bart was struggling and working a lot, so she started helping him with the magazine. Bart tried to explain to Krusty that he wanted to quit, but Krusty misunderstood and started publishing the magazine every week, giving Bart even more work.
When Homer found out, he got angry because no one should have made his son work hard. However, when he visited Krusty, he discovered that the magazine had been canceled since sales had bottomed out, and the magazine would have a funeral.
