Bigger Than Jesus was one of the items from the Simpsons family's attic that was put up for sale at the Evergreen Terrace Rummage Sale.

Behind the Laughter

• The album title is a reference to a 1966 quote from John Lennon about The Beatles' having become "more popular than Jesus".
• The album's cover looks like the cover from the real-life Beatles album Abbey Road.
