Bee-va Mexico is a time travel comedy film starring Bumblebee Man.
History[edit]
Bumblebee Man wrote a script for a film starring himself, but every studio in Hollywood rejected it because they couldn't understand it. Bumblebee Man later realized that he should have written it in English.
At some point, filmmaker Alejandro González Iñárritu got hold of the script and decided to make the film. He approached Bumblebee Man about doing the film, and he accepted. Filming took place in and around Mexico City in Mexico with Homer as his stuntman. However, Bumblebee Man didn't tell Alejandro that he had a stuntman until filming was about to start. Alejandro was shocked and was about to cancel the film when Bumblebee Man suggested Homer could wear a green screen mask.
Filming for the movie started with Homer filling in for Bumblebee Man in all the stunts. This led to Homer becoming increasingly injured until his family leaked the news about Bumblebee Man having a stunt actor to the media. In an attempt to disprove the rumors, Bumblebee Man decided to perform the stunt of falling down the Pyramid of the Sun himself. Seeing this on the news, the Simpsons rushed to the Pyramid of the Sun to stop him. Homer was airlifted up to the top of the pyramid by the film's transportation crew, where he successfully talked him down from attempting the stunt. However, due to their crying, a puddle had formed below them, which they both slipped on, and they tumbled down the pyramid in comical fashion.
Behind the Laughter[edit]
The name of the film is a reference to the song "Viva México" by Pedro Vargas.
