Ayatollah Assaholla is the name printed on a novelty T-shirt featuring a caricature of Ruhollah Khomeini.

History

The T-shirt was one of Homer's old possessions that Marge found while cleaning the attic for the Evergreen Terrace Rummage Sale. Marge suggested getting rid of it because it referred to an ayatollah associated with events from years earlier, but Homer argued that the slogan could apply to any ayatollah. The shirt was later offered for sale at the rummage sale, where Homer promoted it to the crowd as an anti-ayatollah novelty item and successfully sold it.
