A Roaming Holiday is a The Simpsons Summer Shindig comic story first printed in The Simpsons Summer Shindig #3.
The Simpson family are going on vacation and they are leaving Santa's Little Helper and Snowball II. After a while, Santa's Little Helper and Snowball II go away and start to jump on the family's trampoline, while Bart and Homer go fishing and get chased by a large three eye fish. Santa's Little Helper and Snowball II then watch a western movie in a cinema, but when they start shooting in the movie they run away from the cinema. In the meantime the Simpson family visit a cave but runs out of it when the bats in the cave begin to hunt them. Back with Santa's Little Helper and Snowball II, they are attacked by small stones from Bart's bullies, and decide to do a revenge prank: spraying water on them from a hose. Back with The Simpson family, they are at a museum where they are chased by two mummies after Homer steals a jewel. Back at the Simpson house, Santa's Little Helper and Snowball II help a shoper to catch mouse and as thanks he gives them milk and sausages. Back with The Simpson family, Homer is trying to light a campfire but instead he is starting a fire in the tent. In the meantime, Santa's Little Helper and Snowball II have jumped into a pool in an aquarium, while Homer crashes the car into Mount Rushmore. Back with Santa's Little Helper and Snowball II, they are having fun in a shop window while Homer gives money to an Amish after he crashed his car on his load of pies when he was driving. Back with Santa's Little Helper and Snowball II, they are begging food from Luigi, who starts playing a accordion and gives then meatballs and spaghetti. Back with The Simpson family, they visit a Japanese restaurant where they eat until they are satisfied but when they can not afford to pay they meal they have to do the dishes. Back at the Simpson house, Santa's Little Helper and Snowball II are now home and they were starting to sleep on the grass as before the Simpson family drove away. In the meantime, Homer gets fined by the police for driving at sixteen signs from ten city blocks when they come home to Springfield. When they run up on the driveway, the family is not happy at how the holiday became and Homer points out the animals are lazy, and they have not done anything.
