History

Robert Parker attended the auction at Gavelby's Auction House for a bottle of Gevrey-Chambertin Wine, once owned by Napoleon Bonaparte. Smithers told Marge that Parker invented the 100-point wine ranking scale. Andrew Lloyd Webber struck up a conversation with Parker, but Parker rated the conversation a 36. When someone bid $2 million, Parker said that was like 20,000 100s.
