Richard is a banker at the First Bank of Springfield.

History

When Homer went to the First Bank of Springfield to put his John Travolta potato chip in a safety deposit box, he met with Richard to get a box. Homer told Richard the story behind the potato chip, which bored him. Richard revealed to Homer that Marge had a safety deposit box in the Simpson name already and showed him the contents of the box. Richard said that he'd normally not be allowed to share the contents of the box with Homer, but he was high at the time.
