Blaise Pascal is a French mathematician and the inventor of the Probability theory.
History
A fictional version of him appeared in the short film Take a Chance on... Probability!. He told his friend Silly Squirrel that the probability of him winning the lottery was worse than the chance of him getting run over by a car, hit by lightning, or murdered by an acquaintance. He then visited Silly Squirrel's grave and said that if you understood probability, you would never play the lottery. Silly Squirrel then died and Pascal went to visit his grave.[1]
Professor Frink claimed to quote Pascal when he said that he was "pleased as 3.14159."[2]
