History

He hit the game-winning grand slam in the game against the Shelbyville Shelbyvillians after Homer started dancing to cheer up the crowd. He was described by the stadium play-by-play announcer as "mediocre slugger".

While skateboarding past Springfield War Memorial Stadium, Bart Simpson saw the Springfield Isotopes practicing and jokingly asked if they were going to win any games that season. Player Bill McCloskey replied, "Gonna try," before making an inaccurate throw during practice, reflecting the team's struggles on the field.

Milhouse called McCloskey the Isotopes' "cleanup hitter."

He later hosted a baseball instructional video.
