Niles Crane is a psychiatrist in the TV series Fraiser, played by David Hyde Pierce.

History

Bart and Homer watched an episode of Fraiser, where Niles told his brother Frasier that he permitted his father to intimidate him, because he has a sidearm.

Behind the Laughter

Niles Crane is played by David Hyde Pierce, who voiced Cecil Terwilliger in "Brother from Another Series" and "Funeral for a Fiend". Cecil Terwilliger is Sideshow Bob's brother, who is voiced by Kelsey Grammer, who played Fraiser Crane, Niles' brother, in Fraiser.
