Roald Dahl (1916-1990) was a Welsh-British writer. He became famous writing short stories for novels (Tales of the Unexpected), but became even more famous late in his career as a children's book writer. Among his best known titles are Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The BFG, The Witches and Matilda.
