Meriwether Lewis was an explorer.
History
Lewis, along with William Clark, was trying to get to the Pacific Ocean. The expedition team went to a Native American village where Lewis welcomed them to the United States. Chief Homer then gave them Sacagawea to help them on their expedition. After their expedition member, Tweedleburger, died, Sacagawea told them to bury their friend, but Lewis said they were still in mourning. Later, when Sacagawea asked them how they became explorers, because they were incompetent, Lewis told her it was because they owned a compass, while Clark told her that the needle was just painted on.
Eventually, they made it to the Columbia River where Lewis got annoyed at Sacagawea for having an opinion, when she was correcting them. After this, Sacagawea stormed off. Lewis and Clark chased after her and saved her from a mountain lion by opening their clothes and making themselves seem bigger. Sacagawea was surprised that they came to find her again and listened to her advice. Shortly after this, they made it to the Pacific Ocean.
