Cultural references

  • Although the subtitle at the end refuses to admit it, the episode is a parody of the Andrew Lloyd Webber-Tim Rice rock opera Evita. The reason that they refuse it at the end is because Webber dislikes having his works parodied.
  • Lisa's first song is a parody of "Don't Cry for Me Argentina".
  • Her second song is a parody of "Rainbow High".

Goofs

  • Groundskeeper Willie is seen drowning in the pool, but in a later episode the pool was shown to have been removed a long time ago. ("Pranks and Greens")
  • Herman Hermann is seen in the gym, but with two arms.
  • After the Willie mistake, we see the bus, and it says "Springfiled Elementary School".
