Metallica is a heavy metal band.

History

When Kent Brockman interviewed people that was in the queue to pay taxes he asked Otto why he waited to the last minute, Otto don't understand him and ask Kent if this don't is the line for Metallica and countine to queue.

Otto went to see a Metallica concert in 1995 at Springfield Arena. He saved Kirk Hammet's career as he was about to quit the band until he was inspired by Otto. In later years, Metallica's tour bus breaks down on the roadside and Otto stops the school bus to offer them a lift. Bart then drives off in the school bus. Metallica then get a lift with Hans Moleman, who used to sleep with Lars Ulrich's grandmother. They tell Otto to never listen to their music again before driving off.
