Metallica is a heavy metal band.

History

Otto went to see a Metallica concert in 1995 at Springfield Arena. He saved Kirk Hammet's career as he was about to quit the band until he was inspired by Otto.

In later years, Metallica's tour bus breaks down on the roadside and Otto stops the school bus to offer them a lift. Bart then drives off in the school bus. Metallica then get a lift with Hans Moleman, who used to sleep with Lars Ulrich's grandmother, or so he said. They tell Otto to never listen to their music again before driving off.
