Howard Hughes Jr. is a man who wanted to buy a clock from Homer for two-million dollars.
History
After Homer and Lisa returned to the historical society with Jebediah Springfield's confession, Hollis Hurlbut dismissed the document as an obvious forgery. He explained that historical research was plagued by hoaxes and compared the supposed confession to the Howard Hughes will, the Hitler Diaries, and the Emancipation Retraction.[1]
Homer gets a phone call from a buyer that wants buy his old clock and he drive away with the kids to meet him. The buyer, Howard Hughes wants the clock for $2-million, but when they meet they get shot and forced to flee, but Hughes promises them that he will contact them again. Homer comes home and tells Marge that they found a buyer for $2-million, but she is forced to admit that she has given the clock away.[2]
