Oscar the Grouch is a Muppet on Sesame Street.

History

When Homer saw a man sleeping in a dumpster, he said that he was like Oscar the Grouch.

When Homer was singing a song about garbage men, Oscar popped out of a trash can.

Oscar was also among the various PBS characters that chased Homer around Springfield. In the DVD commentary, he was named Oscar the Grump due to legal reasons.

Milhouse asked Dubya Spuckler if he ever wondered what happened to Oscar on garbage day.

Oscar the Grouch was seen on the banner for Sesame Street on Ice.

After Lisa in her carrot costume for advertising Seth and Munchie's Organic Vegetable Patch was dumped into a garbage can by other mascots, Ralph told her that she smelled like Oscar the Grouch.
