Cornelius Morgan is the publisher of Distinguished Monster Monthly and a film director.

History

While selling chocolate to raise funds for Springfield Elementary School, Bart visited the House of Sci-Fi-Mystery, a house he hadn't seen before. He rang the gong at the door, and the door opened with Cornelius Morgan emerging from a cloud of smoke. However, Bart had no idea who he was. Cornelius Morgan introduced himself to Bart, saying that he published Distinguished Monster Monthly and directed the 1967 Radioactive Man film. Cornelius revealed to Bart that he would soon have to be cryogenically frozen and displayed in a comic book store in Seattle, as stated in the contract he signed when he directed an episode of Sliders. He wanted to leave all his nerdy possessions to someone, and Bart suggested that he hold a contest to find the biggest nerd in town, which Cornelius thought was a brilliant idea.

Soon, Cornelius started the contest, with many of the nerds in town taking part. Eventually, the day came to announce the winner. Cornelius told everyone that the winner was himself and that the contest was all part of a movie project that he and Kent Brockman put together, Nerdtown U.S.A., a mockumentary about the nerds of Springfield. Two nerds made a working replica of a robo-techno-Gundam missile launcher bot for the contest. Another nerd hit the robot out of anger, causing it to activate and fire its missiles, destroying Cornelius' house and greatly upsetting him.
