- For others named Babe, see Babe.
Babe is Paul Bunyan's ox.
History[edit]
Storytown Village displayed giant statues of Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox. During the Simpson family's visit, Bart Simpson secretly boarded the Toddlerville Trolley despite exceeding the attraction's height limit. After his face struck the entrance to a tunnel, the moving trolley collided with the Paul Bunyan statue, causing it to topple over. As it fell, Bunyan's axe decapitated a nearby Mother Goose statue, while Babe the Blue Ox remained beside the fallen lumberjack.[1]
When Paul Bunyan was dragged out of town, he got lonely and carved an ox out of a mountain. The ox statue was then struck by magical lightning, which brought it to life, and he called it Babe. Paul Bunyan and Babe then went on adventures, accidentally creating the Great Smoky Mountains, Death Valley, and Big Holes with Beer National Park, while fighting Rodan.[2]

During the grand opening of Lard Lad Donuts, Homer Simpson stole the colossal donut displayed atop the restaurant's giant mascot, triggering a chain of events that led to a mysterious ionic disturbance bringing Springfield's giant advertising mascots to life. As the mascots rampaged through the city, the enormous Paul Bunyan Vision Center figure emerged alongside Babe, his giant blue ox, causing widespread destruction before the creatures were ultimately defeated when Springfield's residents stopped paying attention to the living advertisements, causing them to lose their power and collapse.[3]
