Springfield Police Academy is Springfield's police academy.
History
After deciding to pursue a career in law enforcement, Marge Simpson enrolled in the Springfield Police Academy. The training program lasted a single weekend and included physical conditioning, an obstacle course, firearms instruction, and emergency driving exercises. During the obstacle course, recruits were required to carry heavy concrete blocks, climb hills and walls, swing on ropes, and crawl beneath barriers. Marge completed the course despite the demanding physical challenges. She also excelled at the shooting range, where recruits had to identify and shoot armed suspects while avoiding innocent bystanders in a simulated town environment. After passing the academy's final driving test, which included navigating traffic obstacles and jumping an unfinished section of freeway, she graduated and was assigned to patrol duty with the Springfield Police Department.[1]
When Clancy Wiggum was twenty-four, he went to the school. When a film crew was there, he was doing a shooting test and giving a back-rub to the teacher. When he did it, he shot the camera man and asked him if he wanted a back-rub.[2]
