Peter Linz is a billionaire businessman and an old friend of Professor Frink from Silicon Valley Tech.

When Peter and Frink were at Silicon Valley Tech together, Frink was brilliant at creating life-changing inventions but didn't care about making money. After Frink created Susan, an artificial intelligence assistant that didn't work properly, Peter offered to throw it away for him. Frink accepted, but instead of throwing it away, Susan became the precursor to Amazon Alexa and Siri and made Peter rich. Despite this, Frink still thought of Peter as a friend.
Peter Linz held a reunion party for Silicon Valley Tech at his mansion in New Zealand. Professor Frink was invited, and he brought the Simpson family with him. Linz told them that when he saw the view in a screensaver, he had a mansion built on the land, kicking the indigenous people off the land, which horrified Lisa. Linz then showed the family and Frink around his mansion. While on the tour, Bart overheard two people talking about the relationship between Frink and Linz, with one of the guests questioning how Frink could stand to be around Peter because Peter took everything from Frink. Bart asked the guests to explain what Peter did to Frink, and the female guest told the story from his college days.
When Frink showed off his Emoji Glasses to Peter, Peter wanted to steal the technology to make more money. Bart told Frink that Peter just wanted to use him to make more money, which Frink finally realized was true. However, he and Bart then had an argument over whether Bart was dumb or not. Seeing that Bart was angry at Frink, Peter went to Bart and convinced him to give him the blueprints for the Emoji Glasses. Bart drew the blueprints from memory, but before he could give them to Peter, Peter's Komodo dragon got free from its enclosure and attacked Bart. Frink stepped in to save him, roleplaying as his Wizadry & Pretend character Mythagoras the Bold. Bart then admitted what he was about to do to Frink and showed him the blueprints. Instead of getting angry, Frink was proud of Bart for drawing up the blueprints from memory and told him it was proof that he was smart.
