Synopsis[edit]
- "Bongo invites everyone to visit the Retirement Castle of the Vampires! Really ... even your older, bloodsucking relatives need some attention. (Visiting hours are from 9 to 6.)"
Plot[edit]
Homer and Bart drop Grampa Simpson off at Springfield Retirement Castle, but he is scared to go inside, so Bart follows him. Grampa is amazed that everyone is happy and dancing as midnight approaches. They find out they have a new nurse, Nurse Yorga. Yorga offers all the old folks a drink, and Grampa discovers that it is blood. Bart realizes that Yorga is a vampire when she orders two hundred pints of blood from the Springfield Blood Bank. Abraham does not believe him but then discovers that Yorga has no reflection in a bedpan. Bart then discovers that the old folks are flying and have been bitten in the neck. The old men are afraid of Abraham after it turns out that he has a garlic necklace. Bart and Abraham are soon chased by the old folks but realize they can manage the garlic if they work together. Grampa is about to be bitten but distracts Agnes Skinner with Bingo so Bart can kill her by putting a piece of wood through her body. Abraham and Bart are soon captured, but Homer then arrives and asks where the donuts are, as he usually sees them when he donates blood. Homer does not let the old folks take his father, so he offers them his blood instead, but the old folks think he has too high cholesterol. Yorga is thirsty and ignores their warning, but when she bites him, she dies. The old folks start to melt because the sun arrives when Yorga tears down the curtains. Homer becomes a vampire and is now stuck in the retirement home with Grampa, which makes him unhappy. Bart then has an idea that gets him into a better mood—a donut filled with blood.
