Trivia

  • Jenny resembles Samantha Stanky from "Bart's Friend Falls in Love". Ironically, the exact reverse of the episode's events seem to be the main plot line.
  • Milhouse said "Hello Bart" in a similar fashion to Sideshow Bob.
  • The title is a reference to characters. (The good to Jenny, the sad to Milhouse and the drugly to Lisa).
    • It is also a reference to the film The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.

Cultural references

  • When Lisa searches for what Springfield will be like in 50 years on the computer, she searches the web site Oogle, a very obvious parody of Google.
  • The title is a parody of the film the Good, the Bad, & the Ugly which starred Clint Eastwood & Lee Van Cleef, both of whom appeared in Paint Your Wagon.
  • Bart once made a dolphin swim in the soda 7-Up.
