Cultural references
- There is a tribute to the Charlie Hebdo shooting in the episode, of Maggie holding a flag saying Je suis Charlie.
- The final scene of Chief Wiggum and Sven Golly in the glass prison under the police station is a reference to X-Men: Days of Future Past, as Magneto was locked in a glass prison under The Pentagon. Loki appearing in the prison may be a reference to The Avengers where Loki was locked in a glass prison.
