"Yellow Mirror" is an upcoming Disney+ exclusive episode of The Simpsons. It will air sometime in 2026. The episode was written by Carolyn and Kai Omine and directed by Matthew Faughnan. It guest stars Patti Harrison and Demi Moore.[1]
Synopsis
Harlan Dondelinger, and young Carl and Lenny will appear in the episode.[1]
It will have elements from Black Mirror, it'll be weird, with horror elements, with a trippy and unsettling vibe, something original.
It'll consist of two segments, with lots of music.[2]
It'll have flashbacks material connected to the first flashback episode "The Way We Was".[4]
It'll be the first duology. Two Black Mirror-y, future anxiety, techno halves. And no other stuff. Little intro, but no wraparound. They’re both great, but there’s one that is so effed up and sad. This is all Carolyn unleashed. If you wanted Carolyn unleashed, this is it. This first one is…when she pitched it to me, I was like, ‘That is so sad. I love it. Oh, it’s so sad. Oh my God, is it sad. Oh, it’s heartbreaking, sad.’ But not in a ‘bad things happen’ way, just in an emotional truth."[5]
