- All the new footage in this episode is colored using digital ink and paint. This marks the second time it was used in the series, after "Radioactive Man".
- The deleted "Robot Richard Simmons" scene was taken out of "Burns' Heir" because it didn't receive any laughs from the crew. However, when it was shown to fans at David Silverman's college shows and other events, it received a huge amount of laughs.
- The alternate ending for "Who Shot Mr. Burns" was made to fool the staff and animators so they wouldn't find out who really shot him.
- This episode featured the short "World War III", but the fourth act was cut out for time.
- When Troy McClure is standing on the Simpson's staircase, a picture of the Simpsons as they appeared on The Tracey Ullman Show can be seen.
- The deleted scene from "Krusty Gets Kancelled" is about Krusty showing a book involving him doing different sexually explicit positions and him playing a person with haemorrhoids and after haemorrhoids.
- The deleted scene from "$pringfield (Or, How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Legalized Gambling)" involves James Bond gambling being given a Joker card and Rules for Draw and Stud Poker.
- The deleted scene from "Mother Simpson" involves Homer eating chocolate and space food sticks and him talking to Mona about him working at the nuclear power plant.
- The deleted scenes from "Treehouse of Horror IV" involves Homer's head being used as a bowling ball and getting cut in half by a spiky bowling pin with a note saying, "I.O.U one brain, signed God." Marge finds a notice involving Lionel Hutz and Bart saying he'd sell his soul for F1 racing car, the Devil shows up with it, but Bart changes his mind and no longer wants it. One of the jurors finds Homer's soul the property of Marge and Lionel Hutz shows up with an empty pizza box.
- The deleted scene from "Homer and Apu" invloves the Simpson family and Apu watching an Indian film on TV and Homer describing the differences between the actors' and Homer's clothes and laughing about it.
- The deleted scene from "Burns' Heir" involves Mr. Burns releasing the robotic Richard Simmons to scare Homer off with the K.C. and the Sunshine Band song, "Shake Your Booty". When it goes haywire, Smithers shoots it. But it absorbs the bullet and goes even more haywire and explodes.
- This is the first time Matt Groening's last name was ever pronounced on the show. At many times, fans pronounced "Groening" as how it looks which also occurred during The Simpsons Game.
- Troy mentions that the episode will feature classic scenes cut in syndication. Intentionally, these scenes do not appear.
