When Marge Simpson appeared as a guest on The Opal Show she asked Opal when Straightman was going to pop the question. Opal hemmed and hawed for several seconds before avoiding answering by starting a give-away.

Opal said in her show that Straightman had suggested that should have separate Christmases this year again.
