Dionysus is one of the deities in Greek mythology, the god of the grape harvest, winemaking and wine, of ritual madness and ecstasy.

History

Dionysus is seen hanging out in Olympus while Zeus and Poseidon deal with Odysseus.

Behind the Laughter

• Dionysus appears in the "D'oh, Brother Where Art Thou?" segment of "Tales from the Public Domain". The segment is a re-telling of the Odyssey with Barney Gumble cast in the role of Dionysus, Mayor Quimby as Zeus, Homer Simpson as Odysseus and other Springfieldians as the other characters in the story.
