Character Information
|
Jim Ignatowski is a taxi driver.
History
Ignatowski defended Marge against fellow taxi drivers, saying he found her "prompt, courteous, and a joy to ride with." When a Sikh taxi driver asked how he knew, he explained that she drove him to work and added that she wasn't afraid to "parallel park." Later, when Moe insisted the taxi drivers wipe down their back seats annually, Ignatowski protested, saying, "Aw, come on!" before Moe shot at him. After this, he agreed, saying, "okeydoke."
Behind the Laughter
Jim Ignatowski, a.k.a. Reverend Jim, was Christopher Lloyd's character in the TV sitcom Taxi. Lloyd reprised the role for The Simpsons. Taxi was co-created by James L. Brooks and Sam Simon served as showrunner.
