Scoey's killer is a hit man who shot Scoey.
History
During a diner scene in one of the McBain movies Scoey was discussing his upcoming retirement with McBain when the hit man attempted to kill McBain. Scoey ended up taking the bullets, and died in McBain's arms as the hit man escaped.
