"Homerland" (stylized HOMƎRLAND) is the premiere episode of Season 25. It first aired on September 29, 2013, and was written and directed by Stephanie Gillis and Bob Anderson respectively. Kristen Wiig guest stars as FBI agent Annie Crawford.
Synopsis
Lisa becomes suspicious when Homer appears to have been "turned" after a Springfield Nuclear Power Plant convention, and enlists the services of intense, jumpy FBI agent Annie Crawford to help her unravel the truth.
Reception
The episode was seen in 4.4 million households (these are early overnight ratings and may change)[1], however, the low rating may have been caused by the fact several FOX networks were down or had technical difficulties during the show.[2]
