Barbara Van Horne is the presumed wife of Sideshow Mel.

She and Mel were interested in buying a house with a bowling alley (which Marge talks them out of buying).^[1] Sideshow Mel says she does not respect his French arts.^[2]

She has the same hair color as Sideshow Mel, but unlike Mel her hair is a normal style. She rarely speaks when other people are around.
