Cultural references
- The title refers to the fact that David Hyde Pierce, who voices Cecil, plays the brother of Kelsey Grammer's character, Fraisier Crane, on the long-running sitcom Frasier.
- Krusty's prison concert is a reference to Johnny Cash's famous At Folsom Prison concert and album.
- When Bart covers Cecil's eyes and asks "Guess who?", Cecil guesses "Maris". Maris was Nile's wife in Frasier, an unseen character.
- At one point in the episode (just before Bob and Cecil discuss wine at his apartment), one of the title cards from Frasier is shown.
