The Jesus fish were frogs kept by Ned Flanders.
History
When Lisa saw Ned with his "Jesus fish", she went over and spoke to him about the species. Suddenly, one of the "fish", crawled onto the top of the tank, breathing for air. Ned pushed it back into the tank while saying "Not on my watch!"
