When Homer Simpson didn't understand that Krusty the Clown was Jewish, tell Lisa told him that there were many Jewish entertainers such as Lauren Bacall, Dinah Shore, William Shatner, and Mel Brooks.^[1]

Homer has told Wayne Slater that his voice was so gravelly just like Lauren Bacall.^[2]
