Ol' Gull is a character in a story told by Captain McCallister.
History[edit]
One day, Ol' Gull flew onto the Middle-Aged Mariner's ship wanting food. The Middle-Aged Mariner agreed to give him a job in exchange for food. Ol' Gull cooked that evening's meal, but poisoned most of the crew as he bathed in the soup. With only four crew members left, the Middle-Aged Mariner put Ol' Gull in charge of morale on the ship. When the bird started to sing, the remaining crew jumped overboard. Ol' Gull then asked to be navigator since seagulls have an excellent sense of direction, but he led them off the edge of the world instead.
The Middle-Aged Mariner and Ol' Gull survived this, and the Middle-Aged Mariner told his story to a woman in Salty's. He also kept Ol' Gull alive and hired him to be an ice breaker for meeting pretty girls in bars. Ol' Gull then reminded the Middle-Aged Mariner that he had a doctor's appointment the next day to look at the full body rash he picked up in Bangkok, so the Middle-Aged Mariner chased Ol' Gull around the bar.

Ol' Gull is a parody of the albatross from the poem The Rime of the Ancient Mariner by Samuel Taylor Coleridge.
