Booty Cruise! is a low-budget comedy film starring Krusty the Clown, positioned as a loose homage to House Party 2: Pajama Jammy Jam.
Plot[edit]
The film followed Krusty, portrayed as the president of a fraternity attempting to save the Kappa Lambda Omega house by organizing a chaotic “flickysmicky on the sea,” a term invented within the film’s dialogue and never clearly defined. The story unfolded aboard a “borrowed” yacht, mixing elements of 1990s hip-hop culture, bikini-clad party guests, heavy alcohol use, and absurdist comedy, including the recurring appearance of a donkey wearing a cowboy hat.
Despite its promotional framing as a party comedy, the production was criticized for incoherent storytelling and excessive use of Krusty’s invented “Krusty Slang,” a set of made-up terms reportedly numbering over sixty. The film was widely regarded as a commercial failure, earning only 18 million kroon worldwide, and was panned by critics, including one review that urged audiences to “Hip-Hop away from this film as quickly as possible… by land, sea, or air.”
