New York is one of the 50 states in the US. Its capital city is Albany, and its most populous city is New York City.

Homer watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade held in New York City on television.[1]
A boy in Queens entered an essay competition to win a trip to Washington, D.C.[2]
The new Mr. Plow commercial showed a New York City skyline with the World Trade Center.[3]
Before traveling to Springfield for the Springfield Film Festival, film critic Jay Sherman hesitated to leave Manhattan, questioning whether he really wanted to leave New York City behind for a stay in a small town.[4]
